Our Story

WHO...

We are? We are a group of tourism professionals that have sold tixs, promoted tixs and bought tixs. In one of our many conversations on 2017, we wondered why hasn’t the tourism industry evolved into the wireless era? Sure, there’s plenty of OTAs and travel sites, however, we know there’s no better place to find out what to do in a city than in the city itself and the best people to ask are the locals, I mean, should we really trust what some user says or should we try it for ourselves? We better trust the person that has live in the city, right? Locally, we have plenty of activities and places not being promoted and we still have a large amount of direct in-market sales through accounts that could use a bit of “an upgrade”. And so, we challenge ourselves to innovate, enhance and modernize the current sales model and by doing so we are able to include more community activities and places, lower the cost of in-market sale – marketing collateral, staff, transportation – for the companies and include more or and provide an extensive portfolio for the industry professionals thus resulting in a more dynamic, engaging and personable shopping experience for the in-market clients.

WHERE...

We do it? It’s all done virtually so it can be used anywhere yet it began in the beautiful and touristic city of Miami, a city known for its beautiful beaches yet filled with multicultural history, artistic development and colorful vibe which makes it so unique. We are currently covering the South Florida Region.

WHAT...

We do? We connect the travel and tourism environment. By facilitating the connection, communication and trade, of products and services, between our Partners (tour operators, attractions, museums, activities and any other travel related business) and Affiliates (local experts, concierges and other industry professionals) we are able to simplify, expedite and streamline the current in-market sales model. These enhancements result in an improved sales process, more engaged, personable and in-depth interaction, better-educated clients and, overall, a higher-quality customer service experience.

HOW...

We do it? We developed “the tixs network”, a cloud-based e-commerce platform where Partners, Affiliates, and Travelers come together and interact. Partners, having full control over their information, simply create their company’s profile, upload their products and services, set their prices and get ready to be promoted. Affiliates, on the other hand, create their profiles and obtain access to all our Partner’s products and services readily available for promotion and distribution directly to all Travelers. Travelers pay confidently and securely with our integrated payment gateway and receive their tixs instantly. The platform also includes sales performance data, financial summaries, and customer support.

WHY...

We do it? We love what we do and we care about the environment so we are committed to be fully paperless by 2019 (we made it!). We believe travel and tourism are about showcasing all the dimensions of a destination: social, cultural, historical, architectural, gastronomical. For this to be successfully achieved there are 3 key components involved:
•Partners: The one that makes the city special. Every city in the world has a must do, however, what about that activity or place you can only find in a specific city which is only known to locals? “You can see the Wynwood walls pictures anywhere, but it’s not the same to be in the Wynwood as an artist works on another wall”
•Affiliates: The local experts and industry professional, who directly interact with the Traveler and participates in the decision-making process providing a personal, educated and custom tailored inside to the city according to each Traveler personality: “These are the best things to do and the best places to go according to your preferences”
•Travelers: They come and all shapes and sizes: the globetrotter, the corporate outing, the adventurous couple, the family vacation, the nightlife seeker, the honeymooners, the relaxing getaway and they all share one thing in common “live an experience that’s unique an only available from the place they are visiting”, in the, they are the ones that make the final decision. By bringing them together, facilitating the communication and allowing these 3 elements to successfully interact we are closer to achieving a healthier tourism environment in which we can reduce the production of paper-made marketing material, present a wider and unique array of options to all clients, provide a reliable and up to date information channel to our community experts and promote local activities regardless of their size, location, and resources.
