Overview

Our most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best of a boating tour, a kayaking tour and a walking tour into one, multi-faceted Everglades National Park experience! In a dedicated kayak transport boat, you are comfortably and safely transported to beautiful and remote areas of the Park, yet you will still be back in time for lunch, dinner or another tour. Dolphin, Birding and Wildlife Boat Tour. Your experience begins with a naturalist led boat tour into Everglades National Park’s 10,000 Islands. Few visitors get to experience one of the most beautiful natural areas in Florida. It is a beautiful part of our planet and like no other. Depending on the season and the day's conditions, you may encounter a variety of wildlife – dolphins, manatees, stingrays, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, roseate spoonbills and many different species of fish and shore birds. On the way to one of our many destinations, your Florida Master Naturalist guide and US Coast Guard Captain will introduce you to the area's unique ecosystems, its long history and its rich culture. Kayaking Eco Tour. With six kayaks nestled aboard, your guide will safely bring you to a remote part of the 10,000 Islands. Once we reach our selected destination, we launch very stable, comfortable in calm waters. These quiet kayaks work well in our shallow waters. Their stealth allows you to get close to the flora and fauna ... closer than you can in a boat or any other means. This is a leisurely kayak experience. We do not paddle far or fast. The kayaks are for access, not exercise! You will be comfortably on your way in no time after a little instruction from your guide. Kayaking experience is not a requirement and we have one and two-person kayaks are on every tour. You can paddle with your friend, partner or child. Imagine paddling next to a manatee or a dolphin!!! Remote Island Exploration and Walking Eco Tour. Conditions usually allow us to paddle to one of the many uninhabited barrier islands Everglades National Park. These remote island beaches area spectacularly beautiful and offer unique hands-on experiences. Your naturalist guide will lead you on an interpretive, leisurely walk to explore wrack lines, shallow intertidal zones, dunes, uniquely adapted plants, mangrove swamps and the many different invertebrate species that call these islands home. You will likely see more variety and more numbers of shells than you have ever seen. It is common to find artifacts that are 100's and even 1000's of years old. (Please know that shells and artifacts cannot be removed from Everglades National Park) After the island walking tour, we will paddle back to the boat for the ride back to our dock. Don't worry. We will be back in time for a seafood dinner at a local restaurant. Don't forget your camera!

Cancelation Policy?
Fortunately, we are in an area where weather rarely forces us to cancel a tour. We have many choices and options in this wonderful area. However, your captain/guide has the ultimate responsibility for your safety and so will make all "GO and NO-GO" decisions. There are times when we may delay a departure due to passing weather. If we must make a "NO-GO" decision, you will have an option to re-schedule your tour, receive a full refund or join another tour that is not affected by the day's conditions. We want you to enjoy our tours and have a great time. We do realize that situations occur that can alter travel schedules and plans. We limit the number of guests on each tour to assure an intimate experience. Your reservation assures that you will have a position on the tour and that we will not book other guests. If you must cancel a tour more than 48 hours prior to departure, you will have the option to re-schedule the tour, receive a gift certificate for a future tour or receive a refund. If a tour is cancelled within 48 hours and the tour cannot be rescheduled, the deposited monies may be forfeited, or a gift certificate may be issued, at our sole discretion. All customer cancellations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
